Testing http and https
Can I have a single project file (*.tst) for testing http and https protocols?
Or,
is it recommnded to have separate files for testing these protocols?

Thanks,
bmcuser

    Hi BMCUser,

Organizing test cases into Test Projects depends on your - and your organization's, approach. With whatever approach you use, you should be consistant.

Basically, you want to keep your Test Projects easy to manage for all who work with it.

If you have Test Projects where the testing coverage requirements are in-depth (you have a lot of Tests for the asset), I would recommend having seperate Project Files for the different protocols.

If, on the other hand, the testing coverage requirements are light and you only have a few Tests for each, grouping test cases for the two protocols in the same Test Project should not be a problem. However, if coverage requirements change, this could lead to an undesirably large Test Project or the task of seperating the project into two easier to manage, protocol specific, Test Projects.

    That's my two cents.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Best Regards,
