We are thrilled to introduce Parasoft Jtest 2026.1 — a landmark release that takes AI-powered development to the next level with full agentic workflow support, expanded compliance coverage, and a broad set of enhancements that make it easier than ever to deliver high-quality Java code. Here are the highlights:

Agentic Development Workflows

Jtest 2026.1 expands AI integration to support fully autonomous development workflows in CI/CD pipelines, LLM-enabled CLI environments, and IDEs — making Jtest a first-class participant in AI-first software delivery.

  • Autonomous Static Analysis: AI coding agents can now execute static analysis, propose fixes for violations found by Jtest, and verify that no new issues are introduced — all without manual intervention.
  • Autonomous Unit Test Generation: AI coding agents can autonomously generate unit tests to improve overall coverage while keeping the build green.
  • Coverage-Targeted Test Creation: AI coding agents can generate tests for uncovered lines of code within modified source files to improve coverage while keeping test suite growth under control.
  • Unused Suppression Detection: Jtest can now detect and cleanup unused suppressions. Results appear in generated XML reports and suppressions can be automatically removed, improving code readability and maintainability.

Support for Java 25

Jtest now fully supports projects developed in and running on Java 25, keeping you ahead of the curve as the platform evolves.

Static Analysis Enhancements

  • Unused Suppression Detection: Jtest can now detect and cleanup unused suppressions. Results appear in generated XML reports and suppressions can be automatically removed, improving code readability and maintainability.
  • Improved Violation Filtering: The filter for limiting violations reported per rule has been refined with a new option to exclude suppressed violations from the count.

Report Enhancements

  • New HTML Metrics Report: A dedicated metrics report now provides detailed values for specified metrics — including aggregated values and statistical summaries — simplifying data analysis and supporting informed decision-making.
  • Faster Report Generation: Performance of HTML report generation has been significantly improved, particularly for complex projects with large numbers of violations and suppressions.
