We’re happy to introduce you to C/C++test 2024.2, a release packed with features designed to streamline safety-critical software development, improve code quality, and increase your team's efficiency.

Enhancements

AI-driven code violation fixing in VS Code extension. Our Copilot integration in the VS Code extension now automates violation fixes using AI to suggest solutions. You’ll save time by simply reviewing and approving AI-generated fixes.

Rules accuracy to eliminate false alarms has been added to the following standards, allowing you to spend less time reviewing violations and more time making meaningful code improvements.

  • MISRA C 2023 and MISRA C++ 2023
  • AUTOSAR C++ 14
  • CERT
  • JSF AV
  • High Integrity C++
  • DISA ASD STIG
  • MISRA C 2004

Improved analysis for modern C++ language features. Flow analysis rules have been updated to better support modern C++17 constructs like structured binding declarations and initializer statements to ensure accurate results for your codebases.

Extended Support

New support for IBM DOORS Next. Parasoft’s integration with IBM DOORS Next accelerates the verification and validation of requirements by automatically linking DOORS Next requirements to test cases created in C/C++test.

Latest Eclipse IDE. C/C++test now runs on the Eclipse IDEs 2024-06, 2024-09, and TI Code Composer Studio.

Compilers. C/C++test now supports additional compilers, including GHS TriCore 2021.x, HighTec ARM 8.10, GNU GCC 11.x for PowerPC, Clang 17 (x86_64, aarch64), and Clang 18 (x86_64, aarch64). This enables users to perform code analysis on codebases built with these compilers.

In case you missed it, C/C++test CT is now TÜV SÜD certified according to key safety standards, IEC 61508, ISO 26262, IEC 62304, and EN 50128.
