My API response is in json. Should I convert it to xml before following the above steps

Yes you can use the XML Converter tool to convert to XML before using the XML Transformer.

Am using Soatest 2020.1 version. I don't see the Extract path (mention in Step 5b) button in XML transformer

The button is now called Extract Element.

I tried the steps. Now its writing to csv but in same line. The newline(concat''/n) introduced seems not working
