Where is it getting the task by author value. Can I set a generic value for the author .

    SOAtest uses the author information from your source control system to set the author. What do you mean that you want to set a generic value?

    I wanted to set a value whoever run it through Jenkins, in case there's an issue task author reported must be set to DEV. Where can i find this source control system is it in preference folder.

    See "Specifying File-to-Author Mappings" in the docs here: https://docs.parasoft.com/display/SOA9107/Configuring+Task+Assignment+and+Code+Authorship+Settings. That page shows how authorship is configured and gives a number of different ways to specify what the author should be.
