WCAG 2.0 Update

Hi

Now that W3C have finalised WCAG 2.0, I wish to start testing using WCAG 2, but I have noticed that it could do with updating. Some of the references point to Success Criteria and Techniques that no longer exist. Is there an update rule set?

    Hello,

    WebKing has been waiting for WCAG 2.0 to become final to put out an updated ruleset. Now that it is final, we are making plans for when we'll release the updated ruleset. Once we have determined a timeframe, we will update this forum post.

    I will point out that the logic behind the ruleset has not changed very much, so even though the rules reference success criteria and techniques that no longer exist, you should still be able to use the rules effectively to scan for accessibility problems.

    Do you have a date yet in which the update will be release. We were looking at using webking to test our latest project to wcag 2, but without these we will have to revert back to wcag 1.

    To update our release plans, we expect to release an updated version of our WCAG ruleset at the beginning of April 2009.
