hi,
In order to use a test variable that I've defined in my Seenario do I always have to create a method and bind an XML Databank to it in order to use that variable in an assertion? I created a stirng test variable that I'd like to use in my test in a Reqular Expression assertion.....

The test variables were meant to drive the test execution flow, however, its usage is extended with the method tool. Currently, we do not support calls to test variables the same way we allow Environment Variable to be referenced with the ${ } expression.
One way to prevent from having to keep copying and pasting the same script in the method tool that is chained to multiple tests, is to create a Global method tool. Then you can just reference that Global Method Tool to each of your tests.0
