To change the Parasoft Loadtest Java version you will need to modify the registry.
I used Regedit for editing the registry.

First Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/Parasoft/Load Test/[version]/JRE/

Find the key labelled "jre executable". By default this will be empty, which sets Loadtest to use the default JRE that comes in installed with the Loadtest installation.

Modify this key and set the value to \jre\bin\javaw.exe
(C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_74\bin\javaw.exe)

For an example see the following image:

No, please don't manually modify the Windows registry. Just start loadtest.exe with the -ask argument. Load Test will prompt you for which Java to use and happily modify the Windows registry on your behalf.
