Hi,

We are trying to get over Development group interested in using SOA test.

One question that they would like to know -

We are looking at using the same tool that QA uses (SOATest) for our automated services tests. Can Hudson run SOATest scripts the same way we're running Soap UI tests today?

They wanted to also know if there is a Unix Version.

Thanks,

Sarah

    Hi Sarah,

To answer your questions, yes, Hudson can run SOAtest scripts by invoking soatestcli, the non-GUI version of SOAtest. We also ship a Unix version of SOAtest that can be installed as a standalone application or as a plugin to Eclipse. If you'd like more information, you can contact your Technical Account Manager for product and download information. Let me know if you have any additional questions, thanks!

    Best Regards,

    Hi Sarah,

To add to this discussion, SOAtest test cases can be executed from CTP using the Test Scenarios module. To aid in this execution as part of a Continous pipeline Parasoft supplies a Jenkins/ Hudson plugin on the marketplace

    https://marketplace.parasoft.com/#query?limit=24&offset=0&keywords=jenkins

"This plug in will allow you to easily provision environments from Jenkins jobs. This build step interrogates EM for existing Systems, Environments, and Instances and allows you to effortlessly manage the provisioning. This allows you to configure your systems and run health checks as part of any Jenkins Job."

New in version 2.0: Deploy and Destroy

    • Replicate environments to another Virtualize server
    • Destroy the replicated environments when no longer needed

Requires Environment Manager 2.7.4 or higher.
