Re: How to Force Selenic to Run Edge in inPrivate Window
I am using an older version of Selenic (2021.1.2)
Support for Selenium 4 was added later in Selenic 2022.1. Until you are able to update your version of Selenium and Selenic, it looks like you can add arguments a different way for Selenium 3:

Re: DTP 2024.2 failed to connect to MySQL (8.0)
One thing you can try before filing a support issue:
If you did not restart DTP after copying the jdbc jar file, please restart DTP and try again.
SOAtest, Virtualize, CTP 2024.2 Product Release Announcement
Parasoft’s latest 2024.2 release for SOAtest, Virtualize, and CTP is packed with powerful new features designed to enhance productivity, improve team collaboration, and streamline testing processes. Here’s a quick look at what’s new:
AI Assistant: Accelerate Learning and Troubleshooting
A new AI Assistant is now available in SOAtest and Virtualize, allowing users to ask questions in natural language and receive answers directly from product documentation, powered by an optional integration with an external LLM provider. Whether you’re a new user learning the product or an experienced user needing help, the AI Assistant makes it easy to get unstuck faster. Access the AI Assistant by navigating to Parasoft > Show View > AI Assistant in the SOAtest/Virtualize desktop. For more details, check out the AI Assistant.
Expanded LLM Integration for Enhanced Privacy
Support for LLM providers has been expanded beyond OpenAI and Azure OpenAI, giving users the flexibility to integrate with any LLM provider that supports chat completions and embedding endpoints compatible with OpenAI. This provides a privacy advantage, as users can now use locally deployed models instead of cloud-based ones. Learn more in LLM Integration.
Improved Team Collaboration with YAML File Format
To improve collaboration and readability, SOAtest and Virtualize now support saving test (.tst), virtual asset (.pva), and provisioning asset (.pvn) files in YAML format. The new format optimizes files for easier merging when multiple users make changes, helping teams work more seamlessly through source control. While new workspaces will default to YAML, existing workspaces can be updated by changing the file format preference. Note: Files saved in version 2024.2 or later won’t be compatible with earlier versions of the product. For more details, see Breaking Changes.
Faster Test Execution with Parallel Mode
CTP and SOAtest server users can now run .tst files in parallel within a single test execution job, significantly speeding up test execution times. This feature is only available when using the SOAtest server WAR deployment and is not supported for desktop installations.
GraphQL Enhancements
Working with GraphQL in SOAtest and Virtualize just got easier. You can now configure a responder with a GraphQL SDL document, and the JSON view will automatically adapt to the schema. Additionally, custom scalars can be defined in the preferences, providing more flexibility when working with GraphQL. Check out the full details in GraphQL Message Responder.
For a complete list of all updates, please review our 2024.2 Release Notes!
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to enhance your testing experience with cutting-edge features!
Re: Is soatest & virtualize 2021.1 newer than soatest 2021.2?

Re: soatest db tool to connect ms sqlserver
Hi Huiraym,
In your ssms under the Connection Properties tab which Network Protocol are you using?
Also, I suggest loading the mssql-jdbc-12.8.1.jre11.jar instead of the jre8.jar because SOAtest requires Java 11 or higher. However, I don't expect that this is the cause of your connection issue.
Re: soatest db tool to connect ms sqlserver
"Connection refused: connect" means the TCP/IP handshake isn't happening, like if the remote host is not listening on the specified port or if something is otherwise blocking the TCP/IP handshake. If there are other incorrect settings, like with encryption or authentication, then I'd expect a different error.
Re: SOATest Professional Desktop license and Automation license cannot be given together?
I would recommend reaching out to Parasoft Support to help you troubleshoot this. They will need to review details about what kind of licenses you have deployed, how your tools are configured to use the license, etc. in order to understand what might be going on here.
Re: Datasource Correlation
Hi,
Normally database data sources would execute their query before the correlation step. So you'll need to use the "Database Correlation" data source which is specifically for those cases when a value from the request needs to be used as part of the database query during correlation.
Make sure you're using the "Database Correlation" data source and not the "Database" data source.
Here is the documentation for the Database Correlation data source
